The Impact:

  • By succeeding in the implementation of the ULT School Partnership Framework, ULT provides schools with multi-tiered programming solutions, which are made to address each school community and their unique student populations.

  • Over the course of our 3-year plan, ULT will consult each school cohort to meet or exceed the goal of reducing the number of students experiencing laundry insecurity by 80%

Current Laundry Launch Initiatives

North Carolina: Wake County Schools Laundry Initiative (WCPSS)

“Clean Drip” Laundry Initiative:

  • Starting in January 2025, ULT has consulted with Administrators and Staff to help foster the creation and implementation of “Clean-Drip”, which is a multi-school initiative designed to target laundry insecurity. With the help of Uplift, “Clean Drip” has begun to serve students in a manner is effective and supportive of each student’s dignity and privacy.

  • Uplift has helped to sponsor Clean Drip’s first event, and collaborated with Clean Drip’s growing service programming profile.

  • “Clean Drip” has applied core pillars of ULT’s School Partnership Program Framework(© 2025 Uplift Laundry Truck. All Rights Reserved.) to meet the laundry security needs of the school communities that they serve.

North Carolina: Johnston County Schools Laundry Initiative (JCPS)

JCPS Laundry Initiative:

  • ULT has worked with JCPS Social Workers and counselors to create the district’s first laundry initiative.

  • Social workers in Title I schools within the district confidentially identify students and families living in the state of laundry insecurity.

  • ULT provides social workers and counselors with the tools needed to apply laundry services to students and families in a manner that is effective and protective of the privacy of the student, and their family.
